The Salvation Army of St. Croix County Grace Place provides Homeless prevention services to individuals and families residing in the St. Croix River Valley. Services include rent, utility, transportation, medication, and dental. Grace Place shelter located in New Richmond WI provides shelter for up to 64 individuals. Our programs offer temporary shelter and financial assistance to families and individuals residing in our service area. The residents of Grace Place may stay approximately 30-90 days; during this period. They are provided with food, personal care items, educational opportunities, after school tutoring, counseling, transportation, AODA services, assistance in finding employment and permanent housing. Our goal is to promote self-sufficiency by providing a safe and secure environment giving individuals the opportunity to overcome unresolved issues. Through education, individuals are encouraged to be responsible for themselves and others. We provide the skills to make appropriate choices for a healthy value system creating strong families and safe communities.
